Maia lives on the Cornish coast and takes her inspiration from time spent in nature. Forests, foraging, surfing, sleeping out under the stars, hiking and birdsong are some of her biggest sources of joy.
This series of prints reflect Maia’s passion for the feminine aspects of longboarding, “I’ve long been drawn to drawing women, and I’m drawn to and inspired by so much of the grace I’ve seen in longboard surfing in particular,” explains Maia, “Nature connection and wonder also seems to be something I enjoy expressing… this thing we call existence, the awe and mystery of that, that we completely overlook on a day to day basis.”
